Will I Get Rich Creating Adsense Sites

by Charity Adams

The honest answer is you certainly could. There are those webmasters who are definitely earning thousands per month on Adsense. A misconception that newcomers to the business of building Adsense sites is that one Adsense site will bring in thousands per month. Those sites are few and far between. It can be done but it may be easier to go at it a completely different way.

Build more targeted sites instead of building one killer site that forces to you to compete with top Search Engines Optimizers. The art of building Adsense sites is that you can get them listed in the Search Engines for free if you pick the right Niche. The traffic that gets to your site from the Search Engines is free. You net revenue for these smaller niche sites will be much higher because you will not have an advertising expense. Your visitors will be highly targeted and more apt to click on your ads creating more revenue per visitor.

The niche is the selection of a particular topic with specific keywords that Adsense will pay a premium for when your visitors click on the Adsense Ads. A niche may not be the most trafficked site but it is a topic that people are definitely interested in and web master who advertise for those customers are paying a high premium to get the click. A less trafficked niche with less competition from other webmasters is easier to get top rankings in the Search Engines with a little effort.

Picking a Niche with low traffic but high payouts means you are probably not going to make thousands for that site.

For instance I have a site that generates less than 600 unique visitors per month. When a visitor clicks on an Adsense Ad on this site I get close to $5 per click. That site can make anywhere from $25 to $150 per month with very little effort. I don't have to struggle for top search engines listings for this site because the competition is very low at this time. The people who search for this topic find my site in the Search Engines. The visitors that come to my site via Search Engines are very zeroed in on the niche. I see 1 out of 3 clicking a link because they are truly looking for my niche. Picking a lowered trafficked high paying niche generates lots of clicks on Adsense ads, few visitors but high payouts when the visitors take action,

$150 per month is not enough to quit your day job, but find 10 niches like this, update the sites a couple times per week. Multiply 10 times $150 and now you are bringing in $1150 per month. Add another 10 and you are up to $2300 per month.

You can certainly find time to find new articles and new content for 20 - 50 sites if this is your full time job.

The moral don't go after the big fish when creating Adsense sites. Sometimes there is more money and less effort in the small Niches if you build them in Numbers.

Adsense - How do I succeed?

by Robin Darch

So you have heard about the tons of money some people are making with Google Adsense. So you want in on the action. But the question is, how do I do it? What makes one person successful at utilizing Google Adsense and others fail miserably? How do I avoid wasting my time on it if I'm not going to be successful? Are there any guarantees?

These are some of the questions that may be nagging at you if you are considering getting started with Google Adsense. You may have already started, but are not seeing much return for your money and time. In this article we will discuss some of the answers to your questions and give you a hint as to how to successfully use Google Adsense.

First of all, is it true that people have made a lot of money with Google Adsense? Yes, it is true. There are some people who are and have made thousands of dollars per month with Google Adsense. There is even one website I know of that made millions when they sold their Google Adsense Website because it was making so much money per month a big company couldn't resist the opportunity to buy their business.

A business, that's what it is. That is the first thing you need to remember. Google Adsense is a business. It is not a hobby. It is not a sideline. Not if you want to be successful with the Google Adsense program. If you do not plan to treat it as a business, it is not worth any of your time. It is an all or nothing proposition.

There are exceptions. If you already run a successful website and have a lot of incoming traffic, Google Adsense can still work for you and you won't need to put a lot of time into it. By a lot of incoming traffic, I mean if you are already getting thousands of unique hits every day.

If you plan to use Google Adsense as your primary source of income, then you have to work hard at it in order to be successful. You have to treat it as you would any business. That being said, I must warn you. Being your own boss, working for yourself, may not be for you. It is a decision only you can make.

To be your own boss you have to be willing to work hard, invest in your new business, sacrifice a lot of your free time, and do whatever is necessary to make sure you will succeed. That means you will have to learn a lot of new things. You will have to study just like you did back in school, but with even bigger stakes. Your business depends on how much you are willing to work, invest, and learn.

Now, if you have decided you are willing to do those things, then you are ready to have your own business. Google Adsense is one way to get started in your own web-based business.

What do I do first? I'm glad you asked. First you will need to choose a product or topic you will be promoting or you can choose several if you plan on having a portfolio of websites. How do you choose a product or topic that will make money with Google Adsense? Again, I'm glad you asked.

There a re tools online that will give you an idea of how much different Google Adwords cost to buy. That in turn gives you an idea of how much those keywords will pay you through Google Adsense. So first, you go to Google Adwords to find out how much it costs to buy specific keywords.

You don't choose the top paying keywords, though. Why? Because everyone else in the world is doing that and the competition is brutal for the top paying Google Adwords. Choose keywords that are in the medium range. Words you believe will pay you 25-50 cents per click are best in my honest opinion.

Your competition won't be as stiff and you can still make a nice monthly income at those rates. Remember, 5000 click at 5 cents per click is more than 1000 clicks at 10 cents per click.

The next thing you need to do is take your new list of keywords you are thinking of promoting through Google Adsense and find out how many people are actually searching for those keywords through the search engines. If you go to overture.com, they have a tool that will help you. You type in a keyword and it tells you how many people searched for that keyword on Yahoo last month and how many searches were done for that keyword and other words associated with them.

So, to summarize, you choose several Adwords that you think will pay 25-50 cents per click, then find which of those the most people search for, and then add some value to those keywords that you have a personal interest in promoting.

That last thing is important. The reason is that if you are not interested in the topic or products you will be promoting you will not be as effective. You will lose interest in promoting it because it simply does not interest you.

Once you have chosen your keyword or keywords you will be using, it's time to put them to work for you and time to make some Google Adsense money. So, what's next?

You will need a website. This is very important. You do not want a web-based html generated free-hosted website. There are tons of places offering you all this for free. Remember that you get what you pay for.

In any business you wish to start, it takes some investment to do it properly. If you start with nothing at all, you will likely still be in that position a year from now. There is no magic pill or shortcut to success with any business and that includes Google Adsense.

Next you need a domain name. Most people think they need a catchy name like Google and Yahoo, because those companies are successful. Not true. Those companies spent millions of dollars to promote their name. If they had been smarter actually, they would have just registered Search.com.

Your domain name needs to include keywords that are the same or related to the keywords you will be promoting. Remember, with Google Adsense you are not building your company name, you are promoting keyword based contextual advertising and the ads you make money on are based on the words you have in your webpages.

If you have to have hyphens in the domain name to achieve this, then have hyphens in the name. Do not listen to conventional wisdom that tells you that only a dot com domain name and one that has no hyphens is any good. With Google Adsense, that is not the case. A dot net, a dot org, a dot info, or a dot anything else with the right keywords is what you are looking for.

You will need to find a good hosting company for your website. They can be found for $100 per year. If you are offered a cheaper deal than that, it probably is just that, a cheapo deal.

You will need to make sure they have 24-hour support. You want to know if they have an easy admin panel to manage your website with, like cpanel. You want to know if they have install options for things like photo galleries, forums, and blogs. You may not be using those options in the beginning, but you may need that flexibility within that year. Plan ahead.

Once you have your keywords to promote, your domain name, and your hosting, now you need your website. There are several options for this. You can purchase a ready-made Google Adsense website for around $250-$300. Cheaper ones, again, like hosting, are probably too good to be true. You can search Ebay for deals on those or search the web. I recommend affiliatewesitedesign.com.

You can also choose to build it yourself. If you know how to write html then I know you are already going to take that option. It can also be built in FrontPage or Dreamweaver, or some other auto-generator, however, I recommend you have someone who knows html actually fix the mistakes in the code when you are done.

The important thing about your new website is not how it looks! With most websites, a professional looking website is important. If you are selling a product or service that is still true. However, with Google Adsense, you are promoting keywords and need people to click the ads for you to make any money.

If your website is too appealing, they will stay on your website and click around in there burning your bandwidth and making you no money! If your website is very mundane, they will click the ads on the page to leave! You now made money.

Now let me clarify this for you. If you put text into your website that focuses on the keywords you are promoting through Google Adsense, then the right ads for you to make your money are in the page. Not only that, your page will be found in the search engines for searches on those keywords.

Now, when the searcher finds your website and it's beautiful, they want to look around at how great a website it is. They want to read all your FREE information. They will be there for awhile and may even bookmark you! None of those are good things! They are good IF you are selling a product or service on your website. They are not good things if you are trying to make money with Google Adsense!

Your website does not have to be ugly. But it doesn't need to look enticing either. You don't want them to click your links. You want them to click the Google Adsense links because your page is NOT quite what they are looking for. The more they click those links to LEAVE your website, the more money you make.

Experienced Google Adsense people know this and know how to design a website that gets visitors to click the links and leave the page, making you money on the way out.

That is about all I can shock you with for one article, but I hope I have helped you understand what Google Adsense and how to get started successfully.

About Public Services Ads

What is It?
Public services ads are shown on your google adsense when there is no paid ads to show.

Will I Get Paid From Them?
Nope, if your visitor click on the public services ads, you will NOT get paid.

Why Are They Showing?
Here are some reasons:

  • You just put your adsense code, and the crawler hasn't crawled your website yet, thus can't decide what adsense ads to show
  • There are no adsense ads to show that relate to your content
  • You are using languages that are not supported by google adsense

Any Way to Get Rid of Them?
You can modify your adsense code, so it will show a background color or an image whenever there are no ads to show. This way, no more public services ads will show

  • alternate_color
Use this option in your adsense code if you want to show some color to replace the public services ads. You can choose whatever color you like, usually it will be the same as your website background color
  • alternate_url
Use this option in your adsense code if you want to show an image to replace the public services ads. Remember you need to upload the image to a server first, then enter the URL in this option

Adsense - Still A Cash Cow?

by Paul Foley

With the advent of Google losing a court case (and a shed load of money) and the continued problem of click fraud the question is now on the tip of everyone's tongue - "Is Google Adsense still the cash cow that it was?".

In this article I'll take a look at ways in which the average webmaster may still develop a successful Adsense business and how to use the up and coming Google witch hunt to your advantage.

There are currently two main problems that are facing Google, both of which are serious and could lead to the demise of both Adsense and Adwords.

The first and most serious problem is that of click fraud. For those of you who do not know click fraud is the act of clicking on your own (or a friends) ads in an attempt to generate artificial earnings.

This is such a problem for Google as it ensures that the value that Adwords purchasers gets is significantly less then they would want, thus ensuring that sooner or later they will just get up and walk away (with what remains of their advertising budget firmly clamped in their hand).

To remedy this problem Google have tried putting several rules in place such as not allowing the webmaster to show Adsense ads in auto surf sites (to name but one restriction).

The second problem that Google faces relates to content, notably the amount of original content which is out there.

The problem in this case is that many people have purchased article scraper software (software that you point at someone elses website and just shout 'Fetch!' - it then returns a document collection which is a complete rip off of the site).

This was already a problem before the advent of Adsense sites and with the continual chain of people chasing high value keywords it has become worse; It is now possible to search for a given phrase on Google and return nothing but duplicate content for the first few pages of search engine results.

In order to address this problem Google has been modifying it's algorithm to effectively punish people with duplicate content, the extent to which an individual site is 'penalized' is currently a matter for debate.

So, given Google is about to launch a witch hunt looking for sites with nothing but duplicate content and for people performing click fraud what can you do?

After all there are so many people out there using site generation tools that Google can trace and/or document obfustication technology (you've seen the ads - "We can make your one original article into 300 and Google will never know!" - yep, and anyone who visits your site will just find drivel with spelling errors or contextual mistakes).

Step 1. If you must use site generation software make sure you find one that leaves no trace behind itself, ask yourself - 'If I was looking at the source code from the generated page how would I know that it's machine generated?'

Step 2. Don't use site scraping tools, they're immoral and a waste of your time

Step 3. Do include RSS feeds into your pages, they add fresh content with no effort on your part (at least one of the site generation tools now supports this kind of functionality)

Step 4. Don't click on your own adverts, Google will can you in the blink of an eye

Step 5. Do get incoming links from established sites (in the same area as your niche content)

Summary. If you are at all serious about creating an Adsense income you need more than one site and so it is inevitable that you will use site generation tools (because there aren't enough hours in the day for you to create the amount of pages by hand), by all means use these tools but use them ethically.

When using site generation tools ensure that they allow you to add multiple blocks of Adsense /Clickbank /Ebay code to each page (it saves you a lot of time) and that it performs search engine optimization for you (both on page and off page).

You should also take the time to write some of your own original content - like this or perhaps pay a ghost writer to create a batch of articles for you (don't forget to ad your bio box at the bottom of everything you write).

To answer the initial question, yes, it is still possible to make LOTS of money from Google - you just need to be careful.

Adsense Optimization

By Pradip Patil

A lot of webpages out there have adsense on them lately. What is Adsense? Adsense is a PPC Advertising system (Pay Per Click) launched by the web's now biggest search engine Google.

Adsense's PPC system basically works by allowing webmasters to place ads on their websites quickly and easily. The ads are not random either, they are targeted to the website's content (Which usually means higher click through ratios). Other webmasters, who want visitors their website pay for each click one of the ads placed on some webpage generates to their site.

I know what Adsense is now just tell me how to optimize!
Yeah, you really wouldn't care about this article if you didnt know what Adsense was, well anyways. Even though the Adsense ads are optimized, most sites dont really make a respectable amount of money from it. Why? Because most sites place their ads so that they LOOK like ADS. This THE single most biggest reason why no one gives a rats ass about your Adsense unit on your webpage.

In the eyes of web surfers, Ads are evil
ANY vistor to ANY site probably will NOT click on something that they know is a advertisement. Even if the information or product the ad is promoting is of their interest (take this with a grain of salt, if something is interesting enough people will click on it, so don't try to make all of your units tricky), most people think of them as a waste of time. Because of this "AdPhobia" you have to get a little crafty.

You have to make your ads look like you placed them there intentionally as if they were something important relating to your product/subject/service. Often times, unlike tricky banner/pop-ads, your trick Adsense ad will not annoy the user because it is really relevant.

So how do I make them not scream "ADS!"?
Most people know a link is an ad if the link is placed in a unusual location (away from the links that the user already knows are content links around your site). The other big give away is a different look than the rest of the links.

So basically, you need to blend in your adsense units. How do you blend them in? Simple, when getting your adsense code, simply change the background and border color to the background color of the location where your're planning to put the unit in your site.

This alone wont cut it though, also make sure that you place your adsense unit in the middle of your articles or content to make it look like it belongs there because it is relevant. One more thing, DO NOT OVERLOOK LINK UNITS. They are VERY effective if used correctly. Place link units in square format near your vertical navigation bars, or if you can horizontally near your horizontal navigation bar.

This will really boost clicks to your links.

Thats all, just keep those things is mind and you should see your Adsense revenue rise.

Pradip Patil is a guy with no life but a lot of advice to give. Yep. Pretty good bio huh? Yeah, well I do have a site, its FreeForYou.Mobstop.com. Make my hit counter spin.

An Adsense Tip - A Site Blue Print

By Darren Yates

A good money making Adsense site needs a number of elements in place before it will succeed.

In the article below I discuss technical assets and techniques you should be using. You should also consider the site design, but that's a whole other article.

I've broken down the basics below -

1: Regular Content Updates
Ideally you are adding fresh, unique, keyword targeted content to you site on a regular basis. Every few days at a minimum, daily if possible.

The search engines will come back to your site more often, rank it higher and in turn provide more traffic if you consistently add fresh unique content.

A naturally growing site gets the search engines interested and keeps them interested.

If you don't like to write or can't write then you can outsource this chore to a third party.

On the other hand you can also use freely available articles from the numerous article directories out there. This is not ideal because the content is not unique and will most likely be found on hundreds of other sites.

Another option is to use 'Private Label Rights' articles. These are articles that you buy and use as starting point for your own unique article. Essentially you re-write the PLR article. Don't be tempted to use these as is, otherwise you may as well use the article directories as your article source instead.

Which ever route you choose you should start with a good number of pages on which to build.

You need to place your Adsense directly into the body copy of each of your articles for the highest CTR (Click Through Rate). My software Ad Injector can do this for you across hundreds of pages fast saving you hours of time doing it by hand -

2: Rotate Your Content
It's fine consistently adding new content but if your homepage stays the same you're seriously missing out.

You should endeavour to have content rotate on a daily basis on your homepage. This gives the impression of a site update. You can do this by hand or you can have a script on your site rotate content. I know which I would choose. :)

In fact I have a script that chooses a random article from the hundreds on my site and posts it automatically to my homepage for 24hrs before selecting a new article and doing the same again for the next 24hrs.

In essence to both visitors and the search engines my site is updated daily. :)

You can get this exact script as a bonus with Ad Injector.

3: RSS Feeds
To further make you site appear to update regularly you should introduce a relevant RSS feed. I won't go into the details of exactly what RSS is here. If you're not sure do a Google. :)

Basically you will get fresh relevant links appearing on your site at regular intervals.

There are numerous site scripts available now to allow you to show RSS feeds on your site. When you choose one make sure it is either PHP, CGI or ASP. Don't use javascript!

The reason for this is that the above mentioned languages will display the RSS feeds as HTML which the search engines read as content.

Javascript will be ignored! It does not convert the feed to a search engine friendly format which the above languages will do.

4: Place Your Adsense Ads
You must place your Adsense ads within the body of your article. It's a proven fact that the area to the top right of the content receives the highest CTR.

Beyond the body copy the next two hotspots are across the top of the page and down the left hand side. The two areas that Net users naturally look to for a sites navigation.

5: Place Your Ad Links Ads
The Google Ad Links ads have been found to work best when placed either above or below the site navigation, again either across the top or down the left hand side.

A further boost can be had by 'blending' the look of the ads with your site navigation. By that I simply mean having your navigation match the ads in both font type, size and colour.

Many Adsense publishers have experienced a large boost in revenue after blending all there navigation to match their ads.

6: A Site Map
This is very important. Without a good site map to which you can add your newly uploaded content the search engines will never know you are updating your site. They'll never be able to find the new content without a link going to it.

Be sure not to forget to update your site map each time you add new site content.

There you have it. That's a general overview of a working Adsense site. Of course I haven't the space to go in to much detail but I hope you found what I have revealed of use. ;)

Search for the Perfect AdSense Site

By Joel Comm

Ask a writer what the hardest part of writing a book is and you know what he’ll say?

No, not starting...

Stopping.

I have the same feeling whenever I write one of my books. I’m always wondering if I haven’t forgotten something or whether I could give another example or if I could express what I want to say a little more clearly. Long after I’ve finished writing, I’ll be tweaking and editing and adding and who knows what else until I finally decide it’s time to put it out there.

But with a book, once the work is done, it’s done... until the next edition.

With AdSense, the work is never done.

I think I’ve got my sites pretty well optimized. It took me a long time and a lot of work to get there but they’re now bringing in a pretty impressive CTR and a good income.

And yet, I still want to play with them. I just can’t help but wonder if a little tweak here or a change there would nudge up my CTR an extra half a percentage point and give me a nice little bonus.

Whenever the urge gets too strong, I’ve really got two choices.

I can either sit on my hands until the urge passes so that I don’t mess up a good thing.

Or I can try out my ideas somewhere they won’t do my income any harm if they don’t work. I use a small site for that but you could also use a single web page, provided you used Channels to keep track of the income that page usually brings in and follow the difference.

Not all of the experiments you run are going to work, but I have to say, there’s only one thing that beats coming up with an idea, implementing it and seeing it push up your income.

And that’s having a site that’s so well optimized it can’t produce any more income whatever you do. The only thing better than having one of those, is knowing it.

Anyone think they’ve got one?

Adsense Authors: Who Are These People?

By Christopher Knight

Adsense is a program designed by Google to help publishers monetize their websites using high contextually-accurate ads. Adwords is the other side of the coin which allows any person to create an account with Google and bid on keywords or key phrases to have their ads appear in either the search results ad placements, or in content sites that display Adsense ads.

Over the past few months I’ve identified a group of authors, writers, and publishers that I call: “Adsense Authors.”

My definition of an Adsense Author: Any author that uses article marketing as a strategy to drive traffic to their website in order to drive their adsense ad revenue sales.

These “Adsense Authors” really understand how to fully leverage article marketing as a strategy like no other group of authors.

Here are the commonly shared traits of these authors:

  1. Their articles are short, between 200-600 words.
  2. The quantity of articles they produce are typically from 25-300; around a tightly focused niche topic.
  3. The TITLE of their articles are very keyword rich: the first two, three, or four words are the most important in rank. You won't find these authors wasting the first 4 words of their title with non-keyword-rich words (such as "a" "how to" "top" "the" "of" etc).
  4. The BODY of their articles has high keyword density for the terms they are targeting.
  5. The KEYWORDS they use when submitting their articles are intelligently selected based on the overture or other keyword research tools; they are not haphazardly selected.
  6. They do not load up and bloat the guts of the BODY of their articles with links back to their sites; they know this slows down the acceptance of their articles for reprint by other publishers.
  7. Their articles are fun, fast, and easy to read. Often they will use bullets, numbered lists, and quick sub-heads to make the article easy to visually digest.
  8. Lastly, their RESOURCE BOX is brief with only one or two links in them: one link to their full website URL, and one anchored text link to a keyword of importance to their niche. They know that big, ego driven resource boxes slow down the viral nature of article marketing strategy.

Conclusion on Adsense Authoring
Adsense Authors have discovered the secrets behind fully unlocking the power of article marketing to drive enormous storms of organic traffic to their websites. They accomplish this with dozens to hundreds of tightly-focused niche articles, all reflecting high keyword value and research intelligence.

You won’t find any 3,000+ word articles or ego driven article content from an Adsense Author. They have only one purpose in mind: To drive massive amounts of traffic to their Adsense-based business model using article marketing as a key strategy.

Even if your goal in life has nothing to do with Adsense, you can definitely learn from today’s Adsense Authors on how to take Article Marketing to the next level of possibilities.

Making Money With Google AdSense

The foundation of Internet Marketing is built on the premise of creating multiple streams of income. There are many ways to pull in profits with an online business opportunity.

Google AdSense is a program that lets Internet Marketers take full advantage of their website's traffic by letting them profit from relevant ads by getting paid for both impressions and clicks.

One of the best Internet Marketing principles you can master is the art of driving traffic to your site. That knowledge comes through learning about search engine optimization, using content and links to direct visitors to your website, and other advanced techniques that enhance your online business opportunity.

If you know the power of getting hits to your site, then you'll be able to multiply your profits - not just by selling a product or service - but by using Google AdSense in your marketing strategy.

If you pass on a good online business opportunity such as using AdSense to get the most out of your traffic, then you could be passing up thousands of dollars each month in potential profits.

Making money on the 'net revolves around being able to reach prospective customers. Without good traffic sense, you can't make money from programs like Google AdSense that are willing to hand out cash.

No matter how great your product is or how appealing your website may be - if it's empty, your bank account will be too. Google AdSense is one online business opportunity that provides passive income from a source you don't have to work hard to maintain.

No other similar program has the branding that Google AdSense has. It's a familiar name for those who browse the 'net and when you allow visitors to utilize the Google Search Tool from your site, ads that fit in with your site's basic theme will let you profit from clicks and impressions.

Google AdSense also lets you test the ads on your site for effectiveness. By using channels, you can get a quick view of your website or pages within a site and compare the performance of the AdSense campaign. By testing your efforts, you can optimize your online business opportunity and tweak any Google AdSense campaigns that need help with their performance.

Men and women who are interested in launching a home-based business that centers around the Internet as an avenue for harvesting their income must first learn the power of successful web traffic techniques.

Once that step has been achieved, they can employ programs such as Google AdSense to customize the performance of each page within their site. They'll rake in unimaginable profits just by signing up for an online business opportunity that offers a virtual hands-off way to make money.

For those just starting out - or want to hone their existing knowledge and skills for becoming an Internet Marketing success story - software may be the answer that helps them increase their traffic and take advantage of Google AdSense.

Everyone wants to generate a steady stream of online profits - but without traffic and without passive income - they'll be working twice as hard to earn half the amount of money.

Google AdSense has different types of ad campaigns you can put together. Text ads come in the form of banners of all sizes - from leader board to button sized. Image ads also use banner positioning to attract the eye of your traffic. They also offer units of text links if you prefer to just have content in your AdSense campaign.

Online business opportunities will come and go. But Google AdSense looks promising as a strong investment of very little of your time in exchange for financial rewards that - if used on a good number of sites - can add up to big profits.

The AdSense program is free to use. All you have to do is sign up and once approved, start using the traffic techniques you've learned to attract visitors and make money when and if they leave your site and click-through to another strategically placed ad.

You have complete control over your Google AdSense campaigns. If you see ads that are relevant to your site, but you'd rather not showcase there, all you have to do is use the filtering tool and the traffic you've earned won't see that link again.

There are many advantages to building an empire around an online business opportunity and profiting from targeted traffic is like succeeding in direct mail promotions - only using modern technology. With Google AdSense, you'll revel in your site's enhancement and use it as a viral tool in making money from multiple resources.

Google AdSense Rewards Content with Advertising Revenue

If you've been looking for an easy way to increase your website's revenue, Google AdSense may be your answer.

Google AdSense is a phenomenal new advertising revenue program that is taking the Internet by storm. It was specifically designed to enable content rich sites to increase their advertising revenue simply by displaying Google AdWords ads.

Google AdSense makes selling advertising space easy, as they handle everything for you. With access to a database of 100,000 advertisers, you'll never have to worry about finding advertisers for your website again.

The concept is simple. If you have a quality site that provides content, such as articles, you may qualify to display Google AdWords text ads on your web pages. If your site is approved, you will receive a portion of the pay-per- click payment.

The great thing about Google's sophisticated advertising system is that the ads that display on your web pages are relevant to your content. They scan each page to determine what your page is about and display the ads accordingly. This will increase your click-through rate considerably, as relevant text ads combined with quality content are highly effective.

Although the AdSense program is free to apply, your site will be reviewed and must be approved in order to begin displaying the ads.

As there have been many sites turned down, you'll need to ensure your site meets Google's criteria prior to applying. You can find the guidelines at the following web address: https://www.google.com/adsense/policies

They're basically looking for quality sites offering content. The keywords here are "quality and content." If your site is under construction, loaded with advertising and/or broken images and links, don't even waste your time applying, as you won't be accepted. However, if you have a quality site and provide your visitors with content, you will most-likely be accepted.

The more content pages you have, the more advertising revenue you can make. It's really that simple. If you don't have your own content, there is a wealth of content available on Internet completely free. Once you've located articles that are relevant to your website, simply create a page for each. For example, if you find ten appropriate articles, you can create ten new content pages in which you can display Google AdWords ads. Not only will you be adding valuable content for your visitors, but you'll also increase your website's traffic and revenue. It's a win-win deal no matter how you look at it.

Once your site has been approved, you simply select the style of ads you'd like to display and paste the code into your web pages where you'd like the ads to display.

Although all of the ads are text ads, there are currently four layout options to select from:

• Standard 468 x 60 banner format (displays up to 2 ads)

• Vertical 120 x 600 skyscraper ad (displays up to 4 ads)

• Horizontal 728 x 90 Leaderboard (displays up to 4 ads)

• 300 x 250 Inline rectangle (displays up to 4 ads)

Although all four ad styles can be effective, the "skyscraper" ads placed toward the top right side of your page or the "Leaderboard" ads placed at the top of the page generally will provide a higher click-through rate than the other two styles.

However, each page is different and will produce different results. For this reason, you may want to test your pages and display the style that produces the highest click- through rate.

Once you begin displaying the ads on your website, you can visit Google and log in to your account to see how the ads are performing. You can view the number of impressions, clicks, click-through rate and your earnings.

If you're concerned about displaying ads that may compete with products or services you're promoting, Google offers an option to filter out unwanted ads. In addition, you can display the ads along with any affiliate programs you may be promoting, as long as the ads don't look like Google ads.

Google AdSense is the hottest advertising revenue program on the Internet. Isn't it about time you got paid for your content?
